I met Beth when she was the bridesmaid in Gina and James' wedding here in Denver. She told me that whenever she get's married that I was going to be her photographer. Fast forward four years, and now it's Beth's turn! She chose the Speed Art Museum in her home town of Louisville, Kentucky for her marriage to Garrett. It was a beautiful weekend, starting with the rehearsal barbecue at a family friends house, and the ceremony and reception at the Speed. It was also great to see Gina and James and their two little girls. Here are a few of the images from the weekend.
A quick portrait of Beth and Garrett in the gallery where the reception would be taking place on Saturday. The piece behind them is Reclining Figure:Angles by Henry Moore Gina and James, whose wedding was where I met Beth, and their girls Mary, and Savannah. Friday night barbecue. The Speed Art Museum. The children at the wedding were great! So much energy and personality. Garrett looking very dapper. Beth was not only a beautiful bride, but a joy to work with. We had so much fun taking pictures! Walking down the aisle with her dad. Well, it is an art museum! Love the fisheye's perspective for this photograph of the wedding party. One of my favorites from the day. The art theme was reflected in the place settings and through out many of the wedding details Dressed up for pictures in the photo booth A song written especialy for Beth and Garrett I love the emotion in Garrett's face.... and the look on Beth's. Someone's flash went off the same time as mine causing a massive overexposure. But I think it looks pretty cool! It was a great weekend!
Hometown, Vauxhall, N.J., which is about 15 miles west of Times Square. I dislike cheese except on pizza.
First photo published was the cover shot for National Speedsport News of Mark Donahue winning the Trans Am race at Brigehampton Speedway in Long Island. Sold first print in 1976. Vowed I’d never do weddings.
Big time Broncos fan. I’ve been to two Super Bowls. Saw them lose one and win one. I’ve run the NYC Marathon six times. I’ve done Ride the Rockies twice, Pedal the Peaks once.
Go to church regularly and consider myself a Christian. I respect everyone’s religious beliefs.
Never judge what someone thinks is a good picture. I never refuse a photo request, ie table shots or dad pulling his pants pockets inside out. It’s their pictures.
Favorite city besides Denver is Paris, France.
I’m pretty much self taught but have been to a ton of seminars, workshops, and college level photography classes over the years.
