It's been three weeks...

since I last updated the blog! A lot has been going on: A speaking engagement in Los Angeles at the PartnerCon gathering for wedding photographers sponsored by Pictage; A beautiful wedding at Aspen Glen in Basalt, Colorado, which I had the great pleasure of having my good buddy and great photographer John Unrue photograph with me; an engagement session; a couple of family portrait sessions; a new company launch party; and a birthday! Here are the pictures!

Lindsay and Mark's beautiful wedding at the Aspen Glen was on September 22. Earlier in the summer we had a great engagement session, so I was looking forward to their wedding. Lindsay looked spectacular in her gown, and Mark was one of the best grooms that I have had the chance to work with. Their family and friends were wonderful, and that always leads to great images.

Here are each of them before the wedding. They didn't see each other before the wedding in spite of getting ready a floor apart.
I love this natural look. The lighting was perfect!
Here's Lindsay with her bridesmaids,
and Mark with the groomsmen.
John caught this moment as they were walking to the ceremony
John also captured Lindsay being escorted down the aisle by her dad.
They're triplets, but one of them isn't quite keeping up! Love the "zoot suits"!
The ceremony site was breathtaking with Mt Sopris in the background, the white rose petals, and the monogrammed runner. It was the first time I've ever seen a runner other than white.
We rode golf carts down to the 8th hole of the golf course to take pictures of Lindsay and Mark. While I caught this one,
John was further back with his long lens getting this perspective.
They were both so natural, it made for a great "formals" session.
Lindsay striking a pose on the ground. I loved her dress!
Their monogram lit up the dance floor.
A quiet moment at the end of a beautiful day!

Suzanne and Ryan are getting married on October 27th at the JW Marriott. After spending time with them and Suzanne's mom Terri, I've got a good feeling this wedding is going to be "off the charts"! We got together at Washington Park for the engagement session. Here are a few of the pictures from the session.

Weddings keep me pretty busy so I don't do a lot of family sessions. I reserve them for previous wedding clients and friends of the family only. Rebecca has helped my wife out with her interior design projects, and Lee, an exceptional chef and computer guru, has helped both of us out of a few computer nightmares. He's also a tech for Dell Computer and really knows his stuff. As a thank you to them, I photographed their family recently and here's a couple of pictures from the session.
I photographed Tiffany and Mark's wedding back in 2004.
One of my favorite wedding pictures, their first dance.
They have since had a daughter, and one of the benefits I give my wedding clients , is a complimentary family session when the little one arrives. They waited about 20 months after Dallas was born to call me, but we got it done:-).

I'm off to Tampa, Florida this weekend to photograph a wedding with another good friend of mine, Phillip Lloyd. I love Phil's work, and am honored that he has invited me down to photograph with him. Then it's back to Colorado on Monday, then off to New York City on Thursday, for the Photo Plus International Conferance + Expo. I'll be speaking at the Pictage booth on Friday.

Be sure to check out my cousin Michael Muse' website http://9etherclothing.com/. His company, nin/ether's launch party was Friday night on the roof of Vinyl. Read about it on the Hot News tab of his website. I'm sure you will be seeing a lot his signature "9 superior levels of consciousness" logo around town.

And finally, I celebrated my birthday on October 7th. I spent the day going to early church service, watching the Broncos get their butt kicked, and watched TV with my wife. Other than the result of the Broncos game, it was a perfect day. I'm very blessed and thankful to have gotten to this birthday!
